Tap/Ballet

Cortney Palomo, of Dallas, Texas began his dance training at the age of 11. He attended Booker T. Washington, Dallas' distinguished performing arts high school and upon graduation, he was awarded a full scholarship to the internationally renowned Julliard School in New York City. There he quickly found his passion for tap ("hoofing") through confidante Savion Glover. He had the privilege of training under and working with such famed dancers as David Howard, Dianne Walker, Jimmy Slyde, Mikhail Baryshnikov, Honey Coles, Ben Stevenson, Finis Jung, and The Nicholas Brothers. Cortney built his professional career working with such prestigious companies as Tulsa Ballet Theatre, Ballet Dallas, Fort Worth/Dallas Ballet, Nashville Ballet, Houston Ballet, and The Washington Ballet. His experience and expertise allowed him to be one of the original cast members of EFX at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, as well as be selected as a featured dancer in the movie "DanceCuba". After over a decade of touring nationally and internationally, Cortney has returned to his hometown and is enjoying the company of his loving family.
