Crystal Jagours

Apprentice Teacher

Crystal Jagours has been dancing for over 12-years and for 7 of those 12-years she has been involved in the competitive side of dance and has won countless awards. Crystal began assisting classes 4 years ago and was CDE’s first student apprentice teacher and is in her 2nd year as an apprentice teacher. At only 17 she has such passion for dance and really connects with the younger dancers she teaches!!
Crystal is currently the captain with the McKinney High School Marquette’s. She was the first junior to ever make captain with the Marquette’s. With the Marquette’s last year she won top soloist at their regional competition. She recently traveled to New York City and was in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and selected to dance in the front row.

Crystal has studied under Melanie Tyler-Horne for over 6 years. She also has trained under Brandon Swaney, Amy Neely, LeAnn Mendez, Chrislyn Postesta, Tommy Ritter, Donovan Helma, Jason Janas, Kirt Hathaway and Misty Combs just to name a few. Crystal also keeps her training up by attending local conventions such as Wild, Fusion, Jump, West Coast Dance Explosion and TOP Dance Directive.
 
Crystal is not just involved in the dance scene; she has received several other awards such as 2 green cords (100 hrs of community service/yr) and is currently working on this year’s green cord. She also played softball for 10 yrs and has 4 State Championships and a 3rd place in the Girls World Series. She was also involved with the Girl Scout for 6 yrs and has also been a member of the youth LULAC for 4 years.
Crystal is planning on attending Brookhaven College after she finishes high school and pursue a degree in dance. After college, Crystal’s goal is to become a full-time dance teacher.
