Team Requirements
Team applicants are required to take Two ballet classes, one jazz/lyrical, one modern, one leaps and turns, one strength and conditioning, and if competing one tap and one hip hop. If you choose to stay on team for the following year you will be required to take at least one bootcamp in the summer, as well as 4-weeks of evening summer classes.
If you missed our auditions this past weekend its ok!! You can still schedule a private audition with us. We are still searching for dancers from ages 2-18. The best part, we don't charge anything for you to audition like other local studios. Just give Melanie (owner/director) a call at 469-855-2950 or you can call the office at 214-726-9003 to schedule a time that works for you.

New Tuition Policy - Team tuition is due by the 1st and if not paid on the 1st of each month, a late fee of $20 is accrued and the student(s) will not be allowed to take private lessons for technique or choreography. If tuition is not paid by the 15th, the fees will come out of your team account. If the monies are not available from your team account, the student(s) will not be allowed to attend class or rehearsal until it is paid.
All competition paperwork will be handled through the office. If you are interested in any other competitions that are not mandatory, please contact Tricia Hickman.
As of right now please make sure you are making your team payments out to "CDE." Once we have the new team account in place and the old one closed out, we should go back to the payments being made out to "CDE TEAM."

We have chosen to take the team protected page off the site due to there being constant changes and issues with our password getting out.
So from here on out, we will either announce team related items by email, team meetings, or we will post it on the bulletin boards. So make sure you are checking the bulletin boards or team folders for updates, changes, etc. There will be an updated competition/convention schedule at our team meeting on Saturday, September 6th. We look forward to the meeting and will be providing team members all the current details on the team plans for the year!!
Pre-professional audition dates have been announced
Pre-professional audition times have been set for Saturday, September 20th at 4:00pm and will be open to the public. Our pre-professional company is a collaboration of dancers seeking additional training to prepare them for a career in the dance profession. The pre-professional company will meet on Saturdays to help prevent interfering with other committments dancers may have with their other dance studio. We are very excited to try and get a collaboration of dedicated and advanced students to put them on the right path in pursuing their dance careers.
Becky Beck will be the director for the program and is very exited to get started on this unique and one of a kind program that will provide dancers with the essential tools that they will need should they want to pursue a career in the dance industry. CDE does not know of any other dance studio in the Dallas and Fort Worth area that offers a program as unique as this one or has even ever offered this type of training. CDE is all about taking dancers to the next level and this is just one more tool that CDE has to offer to help dancers take it to that level!! We are looking for teachers and students to help participate in the program, please send an email to the CDE office with your information. Again you DO NOT have to be a CDE student to participate in this one of a kind dance experience.
